Planning a Balabac trip
Balabac is Palawan's far south: remote islands and sandbars you reach on an expedition, not a day trip. Balabac tours start in Puerto Princesa with a 3:00 AM van south to Buliluyan Port, then a passenger boat to Bancalaan Island, where the tour boat takes over.
Joining or private
The joining tour runs 4 days and 3 nights on fixed departure dates and needs a minimum number of joiners. Private trips run on any date for groups of four to ten, over 3 or 4 days. Nights are in tents at a beachfront campsite with generator power in the evening, and which islands you see depends on wind, waves and tide. Arrive in Puerto Princesa the day before, and don't fly out before the evening of the last day.
