Puerto Princesa

Gateway to Palawan’s Natural Wonders

Nestled within the pristine island of Palawan lies Puerto Princesa, a city of natural wonders and enchanting beauty. Often referred to as the "City in a Forest", it blends urban comforts with lush, untouched landscapes.

Underground River

Explore the dramatic limestone caves of the Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Honda Bay

Island-hop through Honda Bay’s coral-rich waters, perfect for snorkeling and beach picnics on Starfish, Luli, and Cowrie Islands.

Beyond nature, Puerto Princesa offers vibrant seafood markets, local artisans, and heartfelt hospitality. It’s the perfect base for travelers seeking a balanced mix of adventure, culture, and relaxation.

Planning your time in Puerto Princesa

Most Palawan trips start here: Puerto Princesa International Airport (PPS) is in the city itself. Give it one or two nights. The Underground River takes most of a day — Sabang is about 2 hours by road and daily permits are capped, so book before you arrive (how the permits work). Honda Bay island hopping, the city tour and an evening of firefly watching fill the other day.

Moving on

Shared minivans run north to Port Barton (about 3 hours) and El Nido (5–6 hours) from ₱850 a seat. Private vans leave when you want and can take in the Underground River on the way (transfer and Underground River combos). The Puerto Princesa to El Nido guide compares every option, and 24–48 hours in Puerto Princesa covers the city itself.
