About this tour
Honda Bay is Puerto Princesa's own island-hopping day. A van collects your group from your hotel, timed to the departure slot you pick between 8:00 and 10:00 AM, and drives to the wharf, where a boat booked for your party alone runs the bay from around 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The usual line-up is the three picnic islands, Cowrie, Luli and Starfish, with time to swim and snorkel and lunch included, before the van returns you to your hotel. The listing runs it as an eight-hour day.
This is the private version of the joining Honda Bay tour. The joining boat leaves on a fixed 8:00 AM pickup and shares the islands with other guests; here the island order, how long you linger and whether you cut the day short are your group's call, and there are five departure slots instead of one. The base fare covers the boat for two and additional guests join at a per-person rate, so it makes most sense for families and groups of four or more.
The bay is the gentler of the city's two big day trips: short boat hops, shallow water and sand rather than a long ride and a cave queue, so it is the one families with small children usually pick. Snorkelling gear and aqua shoes are rented on the day, the city's ecotourism fee is paid in cash locally, and island stops can change with the weather. Bring sunscreen, towels, a hat and a dry bag for phones, as shade on the boat is limited.
Itinerary
- Pickup at your hotel or meetup at location, timed to the departure slot you chose.
- Drive to the Honda Bay wharf, settle the ecotourism fee and any gear rental, and board your boat.
- Starfish Island: shallow sandbar, swimming and snorkelling.
- Luli Island: sandbar that appears and disappears with the tide, swimming and snorkelling.
- Cowrie Island: lunch, then free time on the beach and in the water.
- Return to the wharf and van back to the city.
- Tour ends. Drop off at your hotel

Cancellation policy
Full payment is required at the time of booking. Cancellations made up to 7 days before the tour date are eligible for a full refund. Cancellations made within 7 days of the tour date incur a 50% cancellation fee. No-shows and cancellations made within 24 hours of the tour date are not refunded. If you cancel a booking paid by card or PayPal, the 5% payment processing fee is not refunded. Cancellations by the operator or due to weather are refunded in full.
