About this tour
Honda Bay is Puerto Princesa's own island-hopping day. A shared van collects you from your hotel between 7:30 and 8:00 AM and drives to the wharf, where the boat runs the bay from around 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The usual line-up is the three picnic islands, Cowrie, Luli and Starfish, with time to swim and snorkel at each and lunch included, before the van returns you to your hotel. The listing runs it as an eight-hour day.
This is the shared version of the Honda Bay day, sold by the seat, so you share the boat and the islands with other guests on a fixed 8:00 AM pickup. It is the cheaper way to do the bay and the right pick for couples and solo travellers. The private boat on the same route gives your group its own boat, a choice of departure slots between 8:00 and 10:00 AM, and the say on island order and how long you stay at each stop.
The bay is the gentler of the city's two big day trips: short boat hops, shallow water and sand rather than a long ride and a cave queue, so families with small children usually pick this one. Snorkelling gear and aqua shoes are rented on the day, the city's ecotourism fee is paid in cash locally, and island stops can change with the weather. Bring sunscreen, towels, a hat and a dry bag for phones, as shade on the boat is limited.
Itinerary
- Pickup at your hotel or meetup at location.
- Drive to the Honda Bay wharf, settle the ecotourism fee and any gear rental, and board the boat.
- Starfish Island: shallow sandbar, swimming and snorkelling.
- Luli Island: sandbar that appears and disappears with the tide, swimming and snorkelling.
- Cowrie Island: lunch, then free time on the beach and in the water.
- Return to the wharf and van back to the city.

Cancellation policy
Full payment is required at the time of booking. Cancellations made up to 7 days before the tour date are eligible for a full refund. Cancellations made within 7 days of the tour date incur a 50% cancellation fee. No-shows and cancellations made within 24 hours of the tour date are not refunded. If you cancel a booking paid by card or PayPal, the 5% payment processing fee is not refunded. Cancellations by the operator or due to weather are refunded in full.
